Set up the app in a couple of minutes and now I get filter reminders and temperature alerts. First water heater I've felt informed about. The savings alone justify the upgrade.

Vacation mode is great. We drop the temperature while we're away and schedule it to heat back up the day we return. A. O. Smith did this one right.

Plan your condensate drain before you start. Once that was sorted the rest of the installation was straightforward and it has been flawless. My plumber was impressed with the layout too.

The ten-year warranty was a big part of the decision. Combined with the alerts, I don't expect to think about hot water for a long time. Would recommend it to anyone replacing an old tank.
