Set up the app in a couple of minutes and now I get filter reminders and temperature alerts. First water heater I've felt informed about. Only wish I had done it sooner.

Vacation mode is great. We drop the temperature while we're away and schedule it to heat back up the day we return. The savings alone justify the upgrade.

Plan your condensate drain before you start. Once that was sorted the rest of the installation was straightforward and it has been flawless. A. O. Smith did this one right.

It is heavy, so get a second person and a dolly. After it was in place everything else took about two hours. My plumber was impressed with the layout too.

Efficiency held up better than I expected in a cool basement. It rarely falls back to the electric elements. Would recommend it to anyone replacing an old tank.
