It runs so quietly that I forget it's on. Standing next to it you hear a soft fan, and from the next room there is nothing to hear at all. A. O. Smith did this one right.

Install went smoothly with standard fittings. Everything lined up with the spec sheet, so I had the lines cut before the unit even arrived. My plumber was impressed with the layout too.

The display and modes are easy to understand. I keep it in hybrid most of the year and switch to heat pump only in the warm months. Solid engineering throughout.

Build quality is a step above the builder-grade tank it replaced. Heavier cabinet, better insulation, and the connections are where you want them. Would recommend it to anyone replacing an old tank.
